Is dating making you fat?
I was filtering through emails this morning after a very long and (gasp) indulgent weekend. The article simply stated, “Is dating making you fat?” The People over at Sparkpeople.com state that, “According to research from the journalĀ Obesity, dating and cohabiting can lead to weight gain. The 2009 study looked at 1,293 dating, cohabiting and married romantic couples, and found that over five years, women who were dating put on an average of 15 pounds, and those living with a romantic partner gained 18 pounds.”
My first inital thought to answer that question was, “YES”. Dating is making me fat. I mean, think about it. Going out to dinners, lunches, “drinks”. Its non-stop. To bad society doesn’t allow healthy dating. Although, the strong do survive and if you’re truly committed to eating healthy and have some fantastic will power, than more power to ya.
So whats the answer? We learn to support each other I guess. Find people to workout with and hangout with. Or, if all else fails, buy a bunch of personal training sessions and share them with a friend (or your partner). So this way, you can still go out and enjoy your lifestyle..but don’t forget, you have to return to the Fort Lauderdale gym and answer to your Personal Trainer.
